The one upgrade these puppies need is a USB 2.0 card. The good news is
they are pretty cheap, $10 or less, just be sure it's 2.0.

You can install CHUD tools to make it quieter. Trust me it works very well.

Hey, Jonas is there chud tools for leopard 10.5.8? I tried to install
it, but it's not in the preferences window where it was in tiger?

Hmmm... Did you try the version that works for Tiger? I don't have my MDD
anymore, and when I did I ran Tiger on it, so I'm not sure about CHUD tools
for Leopard.
