The Initio-based adapters work well in G4 Macs. Less well in Intel Macs.
Both the LaCie and OWC adapters are (were) Initio-based.
The OWC adapter has switchable internal/external, and the external
connector is indeed eSATA, just as the internal connector is indeed
iSATA.
