 Kyle,
Dan worked it out and I'm unbanned. I did not know you can only
 buy or
sell one time a year. Are you sure?

That has been the rule on all LEM lists for the
many years I have been subscribed.

The one time rule is for selling an item on something other than the
Swap list. For example, selling a cherry SE30 on the Vintage Mac list
is allowed once per year.

On the swap list, you can sell or buy as often as you wish, subject
to the reposting rule (once a week for the same item) and the no
dealer rule.

Hope that clears it up for you,

Re: Banned

2009-04-21 Thread Kyle Hansen

Assumptions are generalized strange instances. I am a LEM nanny but I am
currently on the on the road and having a hard time with my email. Go to
www.lowendmac.com and look who the nanny for this list is and contact them
off list. I am sure a resolution can be reached. But as a general rule if
youwant to buy or sell an item you join the swap list. You are allowed one
sale/swap posting per year on a regular list. Just an FYI.

Good luck. I had a disagreement with a seller a few months back. He
contacted the nanny. During the long, long time it took the nanny to
respond we worked out our differences to mutual satisfaction. Yet
when the nanny finally got around to it, I ended up being banned.
When I ask for how long, I never got a reply. So, I assume it's for
 life.

Now, your post is way off topic for this list.

Only if you exclude that pesky one-off rule.

There is an appropriate way to ask questions of the moderators by
 going to the
LEM page at http://www.lowendmac.com/lists/index.shtml and emailing
 the list mom and moderators.

This topic is now flagged as off-topic and closed

Or you could just give the guy the assistance he needs instead of
slamming the door in his face.

If you would read my post, I put up the link for anybody to voice

I just think it's odd that people put up short posts saying 'please
moderate me'

Why am I banned from the LEM list? I just tried to post an old mac

 go to to resolve this?

LEM operates numerous e-mail lists, none of which is considered as
the LEM list. Each list has nannies who assist the list owner in
making sure that list rules are followed. Since you are not banned
from the G3-5 List, please do not discuss your problem with another
list here. Contact the appropriate list nanny privately.
