If the disc is dual layer and the reader is not, it might not want to open
properly.
Hold the eject key down while you're powering up the computer and keep it down
til it pops out. It might pop out and try to go immediately back in so be ready
to pull the power cable when the drive drawer pops o

I think a commercial Dual Layer DVD will read, The problem disc's are burned
