One of my (too many) side projects was a not-yet-ready to be published
website for Home Theater PowerPC - using a G3, G4, or G5 Macintosh and
various audio and video equipment to (inexpensively) make a home
theater, audio/video jukebox and/or legacy gaming system.

The Digital Audio has this quirk that it has 3 physical RAM slots but

@Mark:
The DA does need 133MHz. What you can do from here is swapping the
modules in slot 2 and 3 and see how they are reported then.
If slot 2 is reported empty after the swap, you know the module has
I have a Emac G4 700Mhz 40Gig 5400RPM hard disk.

Harris,
Anything with a fast speed processor is going to be faster. Also, the Emac
is limited to 1 GB of RAM where the others can use at least 1.5 GB RAM. If your
using applications that are memory intensive you will notice a difference with
that. if you go to http://www.everymac.com it

System buses have a finite load capacity.
The trade-off was the sum of slots on the associated LSI chip is seven.
Earlier models had three PCI slots and four RAM slots, for a total of seven.

I've tried swapping the sticks and the empty slots change depending
on where I move them.
Thanks.

I think a good time machine would be a perfect thing to have!
Think of what you could do with it!

Folx, can you please double check me on the version of Safari?
Well, I with Safari 4.1.3 just ran Software Update and was only told
(as usual) that all my software appears to be up to date.

I can't answer your question as to which CPU would be better but are you not
aware that SDRAM 512 RAM 133 buss speed is very inexpensive for the DA - and
can be bought for between $10.00 and $15.00 a stick? Try the LEM list.
