 Hallo a Sheònag,

Leugh mi air "bùth-obrach còcaireachd anns a' clas Gàidhlig" agad. Tha mi
 a' smaoineachadh gur e sar mhath a bh'ann.
I read about yourcooking workshop in the Gaelic class. I think that it was
 very good.

 Tha ceist agam air.
I have a question about it.

Are there any quantities...or just what looks good? I'd like to try this at
a study group or at our next "Latha Emulsion"...(in lieu of "Latha
 Immersion")...

 Moran taing!

Hallo A Shiùsaidh agus a h-uile duine,

Seo am modh..
(here is the recipe)

An Stuth Feumail

- cairteal cupa do mhin-choirce
- 500 mìleliotairean do uachdar tiugh
- 25 mìleliotairean do mhìn-shiùcair (no mil)
- boinne do uisge-bheatha (no faoineag no ruma)
- subhagan-làir (no subhagan craoibh no meas ùr)
- bobhla
- inneal
- spåin

Ingredients (literally useful or needful things)

- 1/4 cup of oatmeal (steel cut oats, but you can use rolled)
- 500 ml whipping cream (you can cheat and use Cool Whip)
- 25 ml of 'fine sugar' (fruit sugar) or honey
- a drop of whisky (or vanilla or rum)
- strawberries (or raspberries or fresh fruit)
- a bowl
- an electric mixer (inneal means a machine, literally)
- a sp0on

Ròistibh a' mhin-choirce anns an àmhainn. Fuaraichibh a' mhin-choirce.
(Toast the oatmeal in the oven. Cool the oatmeal)

Cuiribh an t-uachdar tiugh dhan bòbhla. Buailibh an t-uachdar leis an
inneal (cuiribh air e aig astar meadhanach - na cuiribh ro luath e).
(Put the whipping cream in the bowl. Beat the whipping cream with the
electric mixer. Put it on medium speed - don't put it too fast)

Bualibh an t-uachdar gus seasaidh e suas leis fhèin. Measgaichibh a'
mhin-choirce dhan uachdar rud beag.
(Beat the whipping cream until it stans up by itself. Mix the oatmeal
into the cream a little bit)

Faodaidh sibh mìn-shiùcar no mil a chur ann. Cuiribh subhagan-làir no
meas ùr rithe.
(You can put fine sugar (fruit sugar) or honey in. Put strawberries or
fresh fruit with it)

Faodaidh sibh uisge-beatha a chur ann cuideachd.
(You can put whisky in too)

Seònag
