Re: [galaxy-user] Job is waiting to run

2012-08-07 Thread Jennifer Jackson

Hello Yan,

These files are technically under the size allowed through browser
uploaded, however since you are experiencing issues, I would suggested
switching to FTP. Instructions are in this wiki:

http://wiki.g2.bx.psu.edu/FTPUpload

This will allow you to track progress, restart an interrupted load
(network connection issue), and confirm the complete, successful
transfer of your data.

Re: [galaxy-user] "job is waiting to run" forever

2012-07-09 Thread Jennifer Jackson

Hello Eunuka,

A job that is "grey" in color means that it is queued. A job that is
"yellow" is running - and actual run time can vary.
Generally, jobs will begin to run (move from grey to yellow) within a
short time period or if the public instance is very busy, within 24hrs.

I found three jobs that appear to be yours in the job queue, which means
that they are in line to be run (the account is from a slightly
different email address). It is important that these are left queued and
not restarted, or your jobs will be moved back to the end of the queue.

If your work is urgent, a local or cloud instance is recommended:

Hi Shanshan,

The cluster used to run mapping and other NGS tools is very busy right now.
Canceling and rerunning your job moves it to the bottom of the queue, so I
would not suggest doing that.

If your work is urgent, a cloud instance is the recommended alternative for
large NGS jobs:

Re: [galaxy-user] "Job is waiting to run" forever

2012-05-21 Thread Jennifer Jackson

Hello Lee,

The Galaxy public instance experienced a temporary cluster problem that
is now resolved. Your job should now queue. Should it fail with a
cluster error, please re-run.

Our apologies for the inconvenience,

Jen

stay in limbo land. Emptying the cache made no difference.

Any advice?

Hi Shisheng and Mónica,

I see that jobs weren't dispatching on Galaxy Main, and have gotten them moving
again. It'll take a bit to run through the backlog. Sorry for the
inconvenience, and thanks for using Galaxy.
