Hi, was wondering if anyone knows of some muds that follow the dungeons and dragons rules? I have played Toril and shadowgate, but toril is more of a get to the top level and then find better equipment to augment your character ( which I find kind of lame) and shadowgate is kind of a pain due

Keith, I’m afraid I don’t know of any games specifically which follow ADD rules. A lot of them might have similar attributes, skills or whatever, but most probably simplify things. There are a few games set in DD settings—I think I remember something about the Forgotten Realms, but I’m not

ADD is a really bad game design for something like a mud. It works when you use it at the glacial pace of a pen and paper setting, but it only works well if you have a good DM to go with it. In a high speed, real time scenario under computer control, the rules just aren't going to work well. I
