Hello Gary you have told us several times to go to that website of yours
and
download those stratomatic games. Where is the download link for them.
It
seems when I go on the your site I can't find the download links. It says

Hi Thomas,
Yeah, what is there 30 baseball teams times however many players a baseball
team is allowed to carry. That is still a heck of allot of sound files just
for the player names alone.
Sorry that you still don't like my crowd sounds even though I made them stereo
and fixed them up a
Hi Blind Guy,
The robosoft voices are a product of Sapi 4.0. Which aren't compatible
with the Sapi 5 games out there.

Hi Jim,
My comments about the croud noises wasn't about baseball 4 but about
baseball 2. I've been very busy the last week installing all my
software, and haven't gotten to trying out baseball 4 yet. So about
Baseball's new croud noises I don't have an opinion one way or another
until I get to

Hi Shaun
Hi Shaun,
I have not found any setting in the sapi5 SDK for giving the voices echo or any
other special effects. Only rate and volume.
If anyone knows of such features I sure would like to hear about it.
Thanks

Hi Thomas,
Yeah I could not possibly pay someone to be the baseball announcer and do all
of the recording that it would take. And there would be all of the player
names which would change all the time etc. It would definitely take a large
professional company to produce such a game.
People
yeah, i personally like it when you just use sapi5. although i do have
dec talk, how do i configure the game to use it?

Hi Gary,
The shark? I'm out of luck there. I am a Window Eyes man. (Smile)
Actually, I do have the Jaws 8 demo on my laptop to keep my Jaws skills
up to date, but I rarely use it. Window eyes is a superior product for
some of the apps I use. Like there improved Office support blows Jaws
away.
Hi Tyler,
Yeah, Microsoft Sam was terrible. Vista's Microsoft Anna is light years
better.

Hi Blind Guy,
If you are talking about the Dectalk software you are out of luck.
Dectalk is a non Sapi speech synth. Which it's API is so propriatary you
have to pay some major cash to get Phonix to release there SDK and
development notes on it.
I've been looking at trying to figure out how to
hey guys,
Jim put a baseball version4 up on his site. You can go check it out there.
Apparently he thought my idea was ok or an ok idea.

Hi Jim,
Yeah, you can't possably support every name imaginable, but you
shouldn't have to. After all this is a baseball game, and only record a
list of fixed player names for each team which in itself is a big
undertaking.
Some of the stuff I think is doable like high quality croud ambience,
Hi Jim,
Well, I know the docs speak of changing the rate, pitch, and volume.
However, I remember some of the Sapi 4 voices had echo like Mary in
Space, Mike in Space, and I am not sure it was the voices themselves,
Sapi4, or there are echo features in the SpeechLib.dll file.

Hi Blind Guy,
Well, Microsoft Anna is free for Windows Vista users, and it is better
than Sam. Problem is you have to have Vista which isn't free.
I'll look around and see if Microsoft has a backport for Sapi 5.3 for
XP, or if this is a Vista only thing.

Hi Shaun,
That is not an unreasonable position, but I think Jim has never aimed
for the Play Station II, quality we see in sighted games. He simply
writes the games to have fun.
Besides witch to do baseball up right, the way it would be really good,
would take allot of work. For example, Jim's

I wasn't suggesting an entire sports sim, that would rock but its to
much, I havn't even beat the sim as it currently is.
Yeah I admit the audio would be a pain.
However even if jim just set the anouncer and some other sapi voices
to echo if thats possible it would be fake but a little better.
been playing full season for years with
Strat Baseball with my Jaws configs.
