shame the plan failed. I myself am struggeling to find a good enough dos system to play if and old dos games, agt including cosmoserve which I can use tpatch on tads and inform, the only games I have remotely mannaged to get working were inform and standard dos executables. I do have an old 386 system, actually 2. The first a laptop is dead and unless I find another toshiba t 1850 its going to stay like that. There is a second, a desktop which seems to have a dislike for floppy disks, and its not the drive, its more than that. The disks it mostly dislikes are dos 6.22 disks. And some others. I did mannaged to get the old dos system booting on that hard drive but nothing else. The other system is linux but I don't know enough about it to feel comfortable using it or good readers and synths for it.
>Hi Shaun, >You brought up the PCS game machine which Carl had a prototype for in 1998. >It was a stripped down DOS computer with a 200 mhz processor CD drive, no >hard drive and two speakers. >We were going to sell it for about $300 including 8 games but the plan fell >through.
