Luckily nobody got hurt. The timing is extremely bad, since Audio Game

was supposed to be launched next tuesday. Although we have a complete
 backup
up to yesterday's work, our software/licenses are burnt as well
 (Macromedia
Director MX 2004 and Macromedia Studio MX 2004). This means that we
 simply
cannot publish Audio Game Maker since we need to purchase new copies.
 Next
to that, we have to set up a new office on Monday at a new location,
 which
means that there we can't work on Audio Game Maker full time.

 We will keep you updated.

 Richard

Subject: [Audyssey] tecno shock problem

 HI all
I respect the moderators' kind request to search the archives before we
 ask
help on the list. So I made sure the problem I'm having is definitely not
 in
 the archives.
I want to sleep in the game to get my full health back. If I understand
 the
manual correctly it says if I want to use jaws I must open another
application such as windows explorer and then unload jaws and then load
 tecno shock.
Then if I want to use the other application I can just alt+tab and load
 jaws.
So this is the steps I took:
 First I opened internet explorer.
Then I unloaded jaws with insert+f4.
Then I launched tecno shock with a hot key I set up.
Then when I want my character to sleep I pressed alt+tab and the sounds of
 the game stopped playing.
Then I wanted to bring jaws back with control+alt+j but nothing happened.
I pressed control+alt+j several times but no jaws.
I'm sure control+alt+j works, because it worked in other instances when
 I
unloaded and reloaded jaws. Its only when tecno shock and internet
 explorer
is running that I can't bring jaws back with the hot key.
Then when I alt+tab again, there's no tecno shock.
It seems as if my computer freezes if I have another application open
 when
 I launch tecno shock.
How is It possible to use a program such as internet explorer with jaws
while tecno shock is active, like when I want my character to sleep?
My ram is 256 mb. My CPU is an intel seleron and the speed is 1.7 gig.
 thanks

to see what he's like on the very hard or master diffaculties? Are you
fighting him in the mission where you get to use a partner? I know you have
to fight him 4 times, once with a partner, twice without, and then you have
to fight him one last time where its you and a partner versus Golem and
Napam99. I bet that fight is going to utterly suck, two huge guys versus
you, heheheheh. I personally think this game rules. I've been working on
maxing out my endurance so I'll be able to beat the later missions easier.
When I was fighting Alex, he took me out pretty fast regardless of the fact
that I have striking, toughness, head endurance, and upper body endurance
maxed out, and lower body endurance probably half way to max. That kinda
makes me wonder what Golem can do, hahahaha.

 Yo,
Just out of curiosity, how many people here play Urban Reign, and if so
how many people have been able to get past the mission with Glen and Grim
doubleteaming you? For those of you who've managed to get past it, did
 you
have someone sighted help you turn down the mission diffaculty? Or did
 you
just wait till you got lucky and beat them. I've gotten them really
 close,
but I'm just curious if I'm the only one who can come close to beating
them on normal, or if I'd be the only one to turn the diffaculty down.

[Audyssey] Sarah game delayed by winter vacations

2007-01-27 Thread Phil Vlasak
Latest PCS Games News,

Both GMA and Draconis Entertainment are on vacation until February.
David Greenwood and myself have managed to remove three major bugs in the
Sarah game but there is still one more to remove before I will be selling
the
game.
In the meantime, I will work on getting the bugs out and adding additional
features.
I do not want to post the game before those major people at the two
companies get back during the first week in February.

Yesterday I put three cups and three shield awards in the trophy room.
No, you can not take them with you, but I think they add a little more
detail to the otherwise bare room.
I also added someone who likes to bounce around in the trophy room.
I am sorry for the Sarah game release delay, and my contest for a free magic
wand will be extended until the end of March.
You can still send me kitten sounds to add to the game, I already got one.

[Audyssey] Moaning Myrtle's lavatory

2007-01-27 Thread Phil Vlasak
Hi Folks,
In researching what to call what in the Sarah game I was using the US
editions of the books.
But I noticed a British site that referred to
Moaning Myrtle's lavatory.
In the US editions it is
Moaning Myrtle's Bathroom.
I have already changed broom closet to broom cupboard as it is in the
British editions.
As I want to be consistent I am planning on changing bathroom to lavatory.
I hope American people will know that lavatory means bathroom and not a
laboratory.
Of course, even in Merlin's pinball game, the announcer has the same
problem!
 smiles,
Phil

Re: [Audyssey] Moaning Myrtle's lavatory

2007-01-27 Thread Dark
Hi Phil.

In the Uk tape version I have read by steven fry (which I presume is taken
from the Uk print edition of the book, sinse the american audio had a
different reader), it is stil called moaning Myrtle's bathroom on a couple
of occasions, though this is certainly not a usual British phraise.

I don't believe the book ever calls it moaning myrtle's lavatory though it
is often also called Moaning myrtle's toilet, or moaning myrtle's loo, which
are both very usual terms for it overhere.

Even here in England you would only catch incredibly upper class
peopletalking about a Lavatory

I'm afraid, if you want a standard English term, I'd recommend calling it
moaning myrtle's toilet which is as i said, used in the books.

The broom cupboard thing though is exactly right, calling it a closet just
wouldn't be natural over here.

Btw, the in England, Bathroom usually does just mean a room with a bath,
not necessarily containing a toilet, so the Us expression has always given
me a rather disturbing thought, reguarding confusing room functions.

I can't believe I've just spent all this time discussing tdifferent words
for toilet! this is strange!

Beware the grue!

Dark.

Once you have an embuable item you go to a safe location and view your

you don't have to unload jaws or launch another application.
just alt tab out the game and after 5 minutes your character will fall
 asleep.

Then when I want my character to sleep I pressed alt+tab and the sounds
 of
 the game stopped playing.
Then I wanted to bring jaws back with control+alt+j but nothing
 happened.
My CPU is an intel seleron and the speed is 1.7 gig.
 thanks

Re: [Audyssey] Moaning Myrtle's lavatory

2007-01-27 Thread Thomas Ward
Hi Dark,
I am not sure when or where it got started, but the modern American bath
room, lavatory, etc contains a bath and a toilet in the same room. More
upper class homes have divisions in the rooms, but the average American
apartment, trailer home, or house has them together in the same room. I
figure calling it a bath room even if the room only contains a toilet,
like in a store, is more a matter of good old slang at work.

Hi Phil,
Well, I for one know what a lavatory is. It is a bit hard to know some
people wouldn't, but I guess there will be some people who wouldn't.

I hope American people will know that lavatory means bathroom and not a

Re: [Audyssey] Moaning Myrtle's lavatory

2007-01-27 Thread Phil Vlasak
Hi Dark,
Thanks for the clarification.
What I want to know is what would be printed on the door.
Since Sarah is reading the sign on the door would it say Girl's Toilet?
And in Myrtle's case,
Girl's toilet with a large out of order sign.
Thanks,
Phil

 Hi Phil.

In the Uk tape version I have read by steven fry (which I presume is taken
from the Uk print edition of the book, sinse the american audio had a
different reader), it is stil called moaning Myrtle's bathroom on a
 couple
of occasions, though this is certainly not a usual British phraise.

I don't believe the book ever calls it moaning myrtle's lavatory though
 it
is often also called Moaning myrtle's toilet, or moaning myrtle's loo,
 which
are both very usual terms for it overhere.

Even here in England you would only catch incredibly upper class
 peopletalking about a Lavatory

I'm afraid, if you want a standard English term, I'd recommend calling it
moaning myrtle's toilet which is as i said, used in the books.

The broom cupboard thing though is exactly right, calling it a closet
 just
 wouldn't be natural over here.

 Dark.

[Audyssey] old player

2007-01-27 Thread shaun everiss
Hi all.
Today I mannaged to get my old computer I grabbed on ebay work or rather a
procedure to work past a broke \ key.
I want to have audio messages during bootup as well as beeps and other things.
I have a beep generator but the only file I used to use is the pcssbpc.exe file
found in the old dos pcs games.
However I didn't think I would need this file and got rid of it when I
swtitched to windows.
Since this system has a real loud pc speaker I plan to make my own custom os
with this thing playing sfx.
Mostly voices now I have the basic batch code that will work with things.
If anyone wants them I can send my source batch scripts at the moment, they
will go to various places and launch some things.
They also do some commands that use the \ and | keys, like mem find, and to del
a saved folder in a directory.
I plan to do more stuff with these, however without this file I'm stuck with
beeps.

Hey all,
I just had an email forwarded this morning about an awesome site.
www.giveawayoftheday.com
These guys give away free commercial software and games every single day. Best
of all, it is completely legal. They actually contact the authors and pay for
the software licenses. I believe this site will be useful to many of you. Enjoy!

[Audyssey] Techno Shock

2007-01-27 Thread Sky Taylor Mundell
Hey list, I have decided to return to level 1, after playing with techno Shock
for a while. Now, I am back on story 3, but I can't seem to get the elivator to
open. I have collected all the keys, and the items, so, why isn't the elivator
opening when I have the key? I have the yellow, blue, and red keys. Thanks, Sky

Re: [Audyssey] Techno Shock

2007-01-27 Thread Karl
Hi,
There is another key. Hint, go back through the blue door to the
toilet area and keep going. There is something in that area you must
interact with. Hint: it gives you a number.
