 Hi Alex and All,
 1. I don't cheat games, I play them, so I can say I won Tarzan Junior!,
and feel good about it. Tarzans just an example. And 2. what about the
 devs,
how would you like it, if you put your time, learning, and hard work into
making a game then someone else said
This game is inpossible, lets go cheat it!
 What would you think?
 That's just my oppinion.

Did you ever have a game you couldnt beat? Well heres the anser, a free
program called cheatomatic. It is a simple text program that in a few
short steps will let you find a value in memory such as your lives, and
modify it. You don't nead any computer know how because it searches
everything for you. I would like to ask that noone post a modified score
on a scoreboard. To find cheatomatic just search it in google.

[Audyssey] montisumers beta1 bugs

2007-09-10 Thread shaun everiss
Hi tom and all.
Well finally mannaged to semi beat monti.
This may be a spoiler but I found if you run you can get accross
things and passed enemies as long as you keep ahead of them.
Like in superliam, once a snake is in the centre of the speakers you
can run jump over it, note this is not run or jump you have to run
and jump at the same time.
the same is true for pits with no platforms, etc.
and ropes.
Warning though that if you walk to the edge of a platform and or
something, well not platform but a ledge and try to walk you will not
fall off if you run you will.
Here are the bugs.
when at 100 of health using a healing posion will cause the game to
just exit to the desktop.
Also I got through a red door, and over a portal.
through a couple white doors and found I was at another white door
with no key although I had got and used all the keys I had.
So either I am doing something wrong or I think there are keys I need
to get or get put in the game.
Really was not sure about monti but now I know how to get passed at
least the hardest part of trying to walk over things I think I will
probably get it.

do not use the highest quality sound files in my games. But you know I have 25
free windows games on my site. Say each one of them was 30 meg. That would be

width last month and they shut down your site. Truthfully it is frustrating
when people expect or offer me huge high quality sound files and don't
understand the fact that I can not afford that kind of cost to give out games
for free and then just want to change what I have worked so hard to put out. I
have to say though that I get lots and lots and lots of compliments and thanks
for them as well. So it is all worth it to me.

Hi Tyler,

To change the names of the baseball players you may use your favorite text file
editor program to edit the following text files.
baseballbatters.txt, baseballreliefpitchers.txt and
baseballstartingpitchers.txt.

So like fire up Note Pad or something like that and open the files

c:\program files\kitchensinc\baseballbatters.txt

c:\program files\kitchensinc\baseballreliefpitchers.txt

c:\program files\kitchensinc\baseballstartingpitchers.txt.

Do be careful to keep the format of the file as is and then after you change it
just save it and you will be good to go.

As far as jumping goes I'll just state that the jump code as been

Jumping over monsters is simply a matter of hand ear coordination. When

ideal for this kind of game.
Now, if you don't fall off a platform or ledge that is a bug, and one I

As for using a potion at 100% health and exiting I have not been able to
repete that bug try as I might. Still I can look into it, but sounds
like a quark that popped up on your system. I can't see anything wrong
here, nor can I duplicate the problem.
Now, as to the missing key all keys are in the game, but some are
hidden. You need to find it. There is an item you need to have in your
hand when you enter the room with the hidden white key in order to find
it. This is true to the original Monty game, and so you need to do some
puzzle solving here to locate that missing key.
I know everything works and all keys are in the game because I have
played Monty from level 1 through the bonus round, and no issues of
missing keys. Though, I know where to find all of them.

 Kelly and Tristan,

As Thomas says, we're using Free Text To Speech from Carnagie Mellon.
The voice is named Kevin, after the fellow who did it.
Kevin says in his notes, Hey, it's the best we could do for free
I personally call it Robbie the Robot on Acid.

We didn't go with SAPI and DirectX because we want the games to be cross
 platform.
I'd like to implement a JSAPI (as in Java) solution so we could use all
 the
neat voices out there, especially the non-English ones.
But that probably isn't going to happen for awhile.

The games do work with JAWS, though.
And the play testers seem to find that OK.

It's good to hear that the Equals key toggling for the Game Voice is
 evident to you.
The reason the Game Voice is off to start is that most of the people who
buy the games are not blind.
I worked with the Blind and Visually Impaired Users Group Webmeister here
in Boston, to smooth out the installation and set up process. (Actually,
Steve ripped my ears off over the first one.)

I'm concerned about the delay you mention when you type in something.
 Gotta look into that.

 Dark,

Actually, I had some concerns about the free games vs. purchased Game Book
 issue.
Got Marketing to agree to put some disclaimers, warnings, announcements,
whatever to that effect on the Web site.
The Popcorn games are what are called Loss Leaders, stuff you lose money
on in order to just get people to look at your other stuff.
That's probably not going to change; but maybe someone can offer a better
 way to communicate it.

 Folks,

As to the demo time out.
We just added free demos, so that whole thing hasn't gelled yet.

What number of days do you suggest?

 Hi Gary,
That error you are recieving is indicative of a missing DX8VB.dll file
which I have mentioned many times does not ship with Windows Vista. You
have to get it from somewhere else and drop it in
 c:\Windows\System32
in order to get games like Ten Pin Alley to work.

I have to keep the disk near just in case I need it when I run Turbo

I thought I may got rid of this strange problem with my new computer, but

hand when you enter the room with the hidden white key in order to find
it. This is true to the original Monty game, and so you need to do some
puzzle solving here to locate that missing key.
I know everything works and all keys are in the game because I have
played Monty from level 1 through the bonus round, and no issues of
missing keys. Though, I know where to find all of them.

 shaun everiss wrote:

Re: [Audyssey] Montezuma's beta1 bugs

2007-09-10 Thread Thomas Ward
Hi Damien,
yes, the public beta only has the first two levels. That is why it is
only a demo version. The full version has a bonus round, and other
levels are being developed as we speak.
I'm looking at possably putting beta 2 on a timer like Tank Commander
and Sarah where you can only play for a certain amount of time before
the game expires and you have to start from level 1 again. That way the
work can continue on the game, people can play it, but they will never
complete the game or go beyond level 2.

What is it with people being ungrateful lately? Most messages these last
few days are about how people want this and want that, and they don't
appreciate what other people have done. If you can't use sendspace the
first time, as others have said, try again. If you refuse to use

do. I personally hate sendspace, but do you see me complaining at people
about it?

Hello all. I'm hoping that someone on this list can help me out with this
as I'm really up a creek without a paddle. I'm trying to get more
information on fs2002 and making it more accessible. I know there is tons
of more information out there for me to take a look at and probably more
support options as well. There's just one problem, the text is all in
Portuguese. Is there any web page translation software out there or is
there something I can do in windows that will do a rough conversion of the
page to English? Its so frustrating to have the information at your
fingertips and not be able to use it. If anyone can help, I'd be most
 grateful. Thanks much,
 Scott

found it.
Its hard to play though.
Always die.
One thing I gripe about is that it uses midi and has no game turn
down music feature.
Also It really should use the nes music.

Re: [Audyssey] My tarzan junior run.

2007-09-10 Thread shaun everiss
Sometimes sendspace can be really bad, however when I have got a slot
the slowest I have seen sendspace go is 50kbps.

In divshare you always get a slot but you can get really slow speeds.
At 11:58 a.m. 11/09/2007, you wrote:

Well then, you should've tried that before accusing me. You're the only
person having sendspace problems. we already told you to just wait an hour
or so and try again, but you're not doing that. Also did you consider the
fact I may have not read your email before I uploaded?

I asked you so nicely to try uploading it to another site.
Why can't you just for once go a bit out of your way?
I want to hear how you beat tj, you know how very much I battle with send

Can't you just go that bit out of your way, its not even a mile you have
  to
  go out of your way.
Why couldn't you just try another uploading site?
Why did you just ignore my request?

Well this didn't go as well as I'd hope, but here it is. If the audio
stutters a bit, it's cause TJ and goldwave don't get along well. probably
cause TJ is a memory hog. anyway, enjoy!

none of the dsgs games have an installer, you just run.
Not every thing needs installers.
ANd in some respects the less installers the better.
