[Audyssey] BGT: pakaging file in the executable.
Hi Philip and all. I bought the lite version of BGT and, if I've understood well, the Pack_file object is not available to this version of BGT. My question is, how to distribute my executable within their audio files? When I try to execute the EXE file I've compiled in a different position or machine from their original one, the sounds are not loaded. Thanks. [Audyssey] swamp and road to rage dropbox
Hi. I need to get in touch with jake grisham from the audiogames forums. On my dropbox it was reported to me that the rtr and swamp map folders were gone. And in fact when I booted dropbox up, both folders removed themselves. No reason why I was kicked/ banned/ left though. as far as I know I have not posted anything untoward and nothing has appeared in email spam or anything, I have not checked what I sent yesterday, but I need ot know what happened to the folders if they just went. I have all the maps and to be honest I don't really play them at all that much but I was just wandering. My reason is this. someone from an rr.com server and the us tried to hack my gmail yesterday. He didn't get in, and probably didn't get passed my password which I have now changed. yet gmail warned me about the potentual hack. As far as I know no viruses are on my system nore has anything changed in email, dropbox or other things. I am wandering what has happened. And am slightly miffed that I was just kicked for no reason. If I have done something please tell me because its not showing up here. If someone just kicked me because they will be flamed and I don't care how or where I do it or I get banned from all lists either. Hmmm, most strange. It's certainly working now, but then again I've not got a 4004 or anything today, either earlier or now, so goodness knows, unless it's either yourself and a couple of other people all! having brouser issues at once, or some shenanigans in whatever relays from Holland where the audiogames.net server is to the Usa which naturally wouldn't affect people in other countries. I have occasionally seen this happen myself though, when a site is based in another country, when a specific isp goes down or when a major trunk is experiencing real difficulty. that's one reason I myself use bt internet over here, their network is reliable, (a friend of mine is on aol and his connection is up and down like a yo yo). [Audyssey] dropbox folders hacking issue
Hi all. further to my post and checking the email sent folders I have not sent anything in the last week I didn't know about so nothing was compromised yesterday. Thats unless someone got in my dropbox though nothing changed at all. well my isp had an outage yesterday, aparently one of the major google servers failed or something. said cluster controled australia and nz so if you had isps using the google cloud as mine does you would have had some downtime yesterday. HI, Here is the situation with drop box and the road to rage folder. About a month or so ago, there was a couple of files added to the road to rage folder. They talked about how the rtr folder was going away. the files and such would be taken to a proper forum and out of drop box. One of the files gave the URL for everything. Unfortunately I do not have the URL. So after reading your message, I checked. I too was sharing that folder. And it too is gone from my drop box. so you weren't hacked. The owner of that folder warned everyone it was going away, and it did. If I find the URL for where everything got moved to, I will post it. Hopefully some one else has it and can post it. HTH. [Audyssey] Swamp map editor
Hi everyone, I've started using the Swamp map editor, but am having problems loading maps from the main menu. When I enter the name of the map I get an error saying test map doesn't exist, and also when I load a map through swamp itself in offline mode, it loads perfectly, but I am unable to walk around when I hit the mouse. Weapons seem to work, and the map is only 2 rooms at the moment, a safezone and a wasteland which leads outside. I know all my maps are saving because they show up in the maps folder in swamp, but they won't load through the editor so I can continue my work. If anyone else uses the editor, could they please give me some help and maybe tell me where I'm going wrong. This doesn't make sense, since everything is written to the output window. It's basically an ongoing text log of everything that happens on the mud. I actually have a few jokes on america online. most gon the aspect that its not online frustrating users to the point in one where a user shoots his computer with a magnum. others have aol constantly checking mail., or in one case stuffing up a computer, and simply having more problems than an old floppy drive based ibm unit. [Audyssey] Alter Aeon Game Tips
Hi all. I play Alter aeon as Laurette. I find it really frustrating when I die all the time, even though I know dying is part of the game. I know Alter Aeon is about exploring, but I seem to die when I explore. I also struggle with staying in a place too long when I find somewhere and ending up getting you don't learn very much from that battle. Does anyone have any tips for better gameplay, so that I can advance, rather than dying and losing xp all the time?
