Hi Dark,
I'm sorry, it must have been someone else. I have never owned or even used any
of those specialty braille machines.
I got my first talking computer in December of 1989. It ran Jaws for dos

Hi,
Wow, Shell Shock, that takes me back. I remember playing that quite a
bit when it was released.

I think the real issue is how specialized each challenge would be, e.g. how
heavily each would have ot be documented because of the variety of
challenges present on that show. The other issue is for the more difficult
ones, you'd almost have to have a degree of randomness to keep people from
coming

I know that the site of bavisoft was shuft down completely due to a complaint
which was filed a while back. I would suggest you take a look at the
audiogames.net forum for more info on that.
I'm not certain how the folks hear would feel about distributing the bavisoft titles, so I'd rather hold
not unless some one wants to release one they have, because the site is gone.

Hi Dark,
Well, I just checked Wikipedia and there was definitely a UK version
produced. However, the game show didn't take off very well which is
probably why you haven't heard of it. It only lasted a couple of years
over here, and now resides on the Game Show Network which plays new
and old game
Hi Ishan,
Your question about the sighted person is slightly confusing. Not sure
what you mean by a sighted person feeling easy with the genre.
As far as playing interactive fiction games it is very easy. Let's
assume here for example you are playing one of the games written in

Hi Ishen.
Lots of sighted people play and right interactive fiction, so there is no
problem there.
As to how to play a game in an interpreter, it's just like opening any file
in a program, like when you open a text document in word or free office or
whatever, or when you open an mp3 in winam
Hi Tom.
I'd agree with you about the Apple Ii games, indeed "what is an audio game"
and what is a text game could be an interesting conversation.
The reason I specifically remembered that aliens game from one of the old
braille devices, is that JimI believe in the interview said it was the fi
Hi Tom.
I've not heard of this game show before either, either in it's original
american form (though American game shows are only occasionally shown in the
Uk), or if there was a Uk version made which sometimes happens with popular
american shows, such as the very famous play your cards right
Hi Zack,
Of course, I guess that depends on what someone's definition of audio
game is. I consider most of the games from the Apple II-E era text
games since that is basically all they were aside for a few beeps and
boops from the speaker. I personally don't consider those games audio
games myself
Hi
Recently I posted about interactive fiction.
so One thing I want to ask in this context.
can a sited person will feel easy in this genre?
if I have an interpreter for IF then How can I play the game after
installing the interpreter.
Thanks

Hi Ishen.
I believe the game is called toxic survival, you can find a topic in the
new releases room. When I asked the developer said he'd need a lot of money
(about 3000 dollars), for an english translation, but I believe several
people were promising to help for free, so this is a chance f
Hi Nicol,
I've seen that game show before, but not for quite a while. Its no
longer in production, and the Game Show Network, GSN, shows reruns of
it on Sunday afternoons as I recall. In any case because the show is
no longer in production and is no longer being shown on NBC that's
probably why yo
Hello Ishan,
I believe the game you are talking about is Toxic Survival. I've
briefly looked at it, and since my French is fairly basic I had some
difficulty with it.
In any case I have heard the developer is considering translating the
game to English, but needs actors and perhaps some money to

Hi all
Those of you who live in the US, have you watched the tv show a minute to
win it?
This show is broadcasted on south african tv on Friday nights 8:00, but the
show takes place in the US.
This game show consists of 10 levels if memory serves.
With each level completed, the players' money are
I’m like Phil and others, my first real audio games were Apple IIE and, later,
GS games on a school computer. There was a time in the early 90s when schools
had tons of Apple hardware, and so I got to play Great Escape, Lemonade Stand
etc.
My first Windows audio game was ShellShock from EspSoftw
