Phil,
My guess is that one of the .dat files is something like an sqlLite
database, so would guess if you unzip a fresh copy, and then try the SAPI
trick, it might again prompt you for language choice.
On my side, since NVDA is my current primary, had no issues.

Hi Phil.
there doesn't seem to be a screen reader switch in the game which is a bit
weerd. Sinse it doesn't output to supernova it defaulted to sapi with me,
which I agree isn't good for people running multiple screen readers, in the
mean time though, try unloading all screen readers.

Glad you got it working, I'll pass that on on the audiogames.net forum. As I
said, the problem did mystify me a bit sinse with sapi it's been fine.
All the best,

Ron,
I did as you suggested, removing JAWS and my SAPI voice came up speaking
French.
The up arrow key did nothing.
Hitting enter only got more French spoken by the SAPI voice.
So no english.
Maybe I'll have to learn to speak French!

Hi Phil
What I did was highlight the unzipped exe file. Then unloaded Jaws,
hit enter to open the file, and then R to run the program. Then after a
moment the sapi voice I use took over and I was able to up arrow to the
English option. I'm running Win 7, and used a fresh unzipped crazy

Ron,
I'm still getting the French version.
Maybe the developer should put the language switch on f12.
I noticed that f9 changes the enter key
and f10 changes from arrow keys to i j k l
So how do you get it to work with SAPI?

Dark,
I should have read this part in the instructions:
About the screen readers
The game was tested with NVDA, but it should work properly with Jaws. It
should also work with System Access, Window Eyes, and maybe even a SAPI
voice.
The JAWS screen reader is known to interfere with the arrow key

With a reasonable amount of swallowing pride, and equal embarrasment
that's what I forgot to attempt. It was indeed Jaws having control of
the keys. Guess that bit didn't stick in my mind. Got it working with
sapi and yes it's a great deal of fun thus far!

Hi Phil
That sounds exactly like the trouble I'm having with beta 37. It's
nice to know I'm not the only one. :)

Hi Ron,
Don't know how much help this is, but I had the same issue, I found pressing

hi Phil.
You should be able to just press up and down arrow to change the eefault
language from french to English.
Try disabling jaws in case it's that kkeyboard thing and the menu should
read with sapi, or at least it did with me.
All the best,
Dark.

Hi.
Okay I've checked, both language versions are the same file, crazy party
beta 37.
When you first run the program, a dialogue should appear asking what
language you want, english or franceise, for me this just read with Sapi, I
hit the arrows to select English, pressed enter and there it was

I tried tabbing or arrowing but it did not change and all of a sudden the

Dark,
I think the developer put the french version on the english page.
When I go to either,
Crazy Party en français
and
Crazy Party in English
the file to download is the same one.

Hi
I did see the forum post about the same trouble I'm having, no
answers as yet. I'll keep the link and take a look later on. Hope I'm
being dumb and missing the obvious cause it sounds like one most amazing
game! Either that or ask nicely for someone to zip up their unzipped

Yes, it's a beta version, but more than playable and I'm playing it in
English at the moment, so goodness knows what the problem is with language.
All the best,

Seems like, as part of the download link, it is indicated that this is a

Hmmm, most odd.
If you go to http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?id=18915&p=2 someone
else appears to be having the same problem so try checking the responses
they get, I had no issues, I don't know if there is an update or something.

Hi Dark and others
Maybe today isn't my lucky day. I used the link from your message,
but still when I go to run the game it first asks to select the
language. I've not yet found the way to tell it I want English. Tried
using the arrow keys, tab, and simply hitting E but to no avail. I'
Hi Ron.
There is a french and english version. Assuming I wasn't an idiot and posted
a link to the french one by mistake, you should see on the website two links
to the different versions.
Here's a direct link to the page with the download and instructions for the
english version.

Hey all
Okie I've downloaded This and tried to run it a few times. What is
the secret for getting it to speak English? If my French were more
fluent I'd not bother asking but regretably :)
Thanks
