Hi Shaun, I have no immediate plans to support .NET Framework 3 directly. However, since I am building against .NET Framework 2 3 is backward compatible with 2.0. So no problems I know of if you want to go ahead and upgrade to 3.0. Perhaps you can serve as a tester. Hello. It's nice to know there was nothing going majorly wrong with my Pc reguarding Net framework 1.1. I've been banging my head against that particular wall off and on for quite a long while now - I should've just asked you in the first place, Grin. Luckily, I never lost anything through the system restore. sinse I've never had to mess with the hole account business on my Pc (there's only muggins to use it), I have absolutely no idea of hhow those features of windows work, so it wouldn't have occurred to me to look for extra accounts. anyhow, as your modifying the installers to work with net Framework 2.0, I hopefully won't have to worry about such problems again. Hi, End user problems with the .NET Framework 1.1 is the major reason all future releases of STFC, Monty, and all other games will be using framework 2.0. Just for reference with .NET Framework 1.0 and 1.1 it use to create a special account on your computer. In order to restore your functunality and disable the login issue you speak of you needed to go in to control panel, go to users, and remove the extra unneded framework account before restarting. I can say a system restore was unnecessary. All you needed to do was remove the account. Now, as for STFC and Montezuma's Revenge the binaries themselves will run with Framework 2.0, but the installer was setup to only check for 1.1.43.22. I'm rewriting the installer and recompiling them to work with Framework 2.0 so in the next month or so look for updates that resolves your issues. [Audyssey] trouble running USa games.
Hello. the discussion of Rale racer yesterday prompted me to go and have another look at Net Framework. Everytime I'd tried to install it in the past, it not only refused to work, but also caused huge problems at start up, which i could only fix with a system restore. I've now downloaded NEt Framework 2.0 redistributable package from: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=0856eacb-4362-4b0d-8edd-aab15c5e04f5&displaylang=en and I'm very pleased to say it appears to work fine, and I've been able to run a non-audio game related application that I've been wanting to run for quite a long while now. the two games from Usa games, Monti and Startrek Final conflict however, stil tell me to go and install net framework, which I obviously have already done. Will games made to run with Net Framework v1 not run with v2? Is there another component I need to install?
