Hi Gary,
A few comments if I might.
First, I don't know if you know this but Visual Studio 2008 is now out
of date. Visual Studio 2010 Express was released not long ago and from
what I can tell I'd recommend updating to it. I'm currently working on
Window-Eyes set files for VS 2010, and i don't know what if any Jaws
scripts exist for it. However, VS 2010 now supports .Net 4.0 as well
as comes with a stripped down version of the Windows 7.1 Platform SDK
which is necessary for up to date support for XP, Vista, and Windows
7.
Second, as far as getting Visual Studio setup with Jaws or any other
screen reader, for that matter, basicly just undock any windows you
don't need. I also find disabling intellisense helps the screen
readers from flipping out when it tries to autocomplete some code and
you don't want it displaying x number of options etc.

Hi Muhammed,
Microsoft Visual Studio is Microsoft's (who elses?) programming suite. It
contains such programming IDEs as Visual Basic .net C #.net, and/or C ++.

Re: [Audyssey] Any Hints on Visual Studio with ASP1.net

2010-06-12 Thread Gary Whittington
Yeah,Ok, first Shawn, the games have a ASCII back ground to fill in the
screen.
This is a lot of characters symbols. I have gotten around them. And this
was a lot of work to have Jaws not to say them and to just say the menu
items.
So, hang in there, I am realy close. I have finished the external scripting
of the menus and other dialog boxes to work nickly with Jaws.

But if racing is your bag and that being Stock Car, I will have news on a
web site that uses Strategy and managing a race car and team.

But first I want to check out the web site for blind friendlyness.

To Tom, thanks I'll keep your email and add it to my folder where I unpacked
the software.

I am hoping only to is create a simple input form and an older version is OK
with me.
And while surfing I did not see any Jaws scripts for VS 2010. If I had yes,
I would gone that way. So I'll update when there is some
And I am not sure if my Vista computer will run it besides. This system has
trouble installing the new Instant Messagerand Jaws 11.

Smiles, but, yet this may end up fixing things.

Your second item, sounds like to I need to turn of screen echo and just use
the mouse to see whats happen.

Thanks.

I think what I need will be in the noice documentations where how to build a
simple form.

This will be worked on when I have spare time.
But for now I am now looking to move to the next phase, being scripting the
On Track enviroment.
I have even learned some new trick in Jaws Scripting during the first phase.
Well, not tricks, but finding what I can do and what I can not do with the
scripting language.

It's been fun and frustrating at the same time and that spells programming.

But if some one who wants to join in the fun of this project and what to
help in creating this input form for the Stock Car Racing Game, you can
email me off list and I'll give you the specs that is needed.
The input form is not big item in the game. It's used to create new
Historical NASCAR seasons in side the Abandedware for the game to use on
their own.
That's why its not my next step and if I have to learn VS and # or whatever
then so be it.
But once I get the game scripted I have the game and the Jaws scripts on my
web site with the Strat Sports games.
