Re: [Audyssey] inspector cindy games where to get them?
Hi Anouk, As far as I know everything you hear is also displayed on the screen, but because it is written in Java using the Swing API screen readers are unable to read it without the Java Access Bridge. The problem is that Java access with Jaws and 64-bit Windows is broken so you won't be able to use Jaws for braille output if you have a 64-bit OS. However, if you have a 32-bit OS then Jaws, NVDA, etc should be able to give you braille output just fine. As to the SAPI voices the Gamebook just uses your default SAPI voice. If you don't like the default voice such as Sam or Anna and you happen to own a better one like Heather simply go into Windows control panel and select your higher quality SAPI voice to be the default. Then, the Gamebook will come up talking using that voice instead. Cheers! I am not all that satisfied with the standard win7 sapi voice (narrator). Are there other voices I can use? Will this sapi version ALSO output to the screen so that it might work with nvda/braille or jfw with braille?(although i did read that there are problems with jfw). Hi Thomas. Thanks much, I'll buy one of the game books to see how I get on with it, I understand they use a common interface and game engine so if I have success with one, they'll all work. Re: [Audyssey] Inspector Cindy Games
Hi Ibrahim, That's correct. Once you install their Gamebook all of there games can be launched and run from the 7-128 Gamebook. Make sure you get the accessible Gamebook though and not the standard one. On 4/2/13, Ibrahim Gucukoglu ibrahim_gucuko...@sent.com wrote: Hi Thomas. [Audyssey] inspector cindy games where to get them?
Hi everyone, I just caught the last message in the discussion about the inspector Cindy games. I am a big fan of detective/spy games but, looking at the entries at audiogames.net, the links to these games seem to be broken. Are they still available somewhere for purchase? Hi Anouk, Yes, they sure are. To get the 7-128 Gamebook and the various games they have for it go to http://www.7128.com and make sure you purchase the SAPI enabled Gamebook and not the standard one. [Audyssey] Inspector Cindy Games
Hi Everyone. Just wanted to check that the Inspector Cindy games will work under 64-bit Windows 7. The 7128 software page suggests that their games aren’t compatible with JAWS under any 64-bit version of Windows, does it mean then that I will have to use a Sapi voice or can I use NVDA as an alternative screen reader.
