Re: [Audyssey] lone wolf challenge

2007-12-03 Thread Thomas Ward
Hi Charles and all,
Does anyone have a copy of the Clinton mission? That is one of the
missions I no longer have in my collection. Though it was a fun mission
blasting up the Clinton administration.
I wonder if some interested soul would come up with one for the Bush
administration. Now, I'd love to get a crack at that one. There has been
enough scandle and dirty laundry come to light during the last four
years that it shouldn't be hard to come up with a mission to play based
on the Bush administration. The only thing is to organize it properly,
and come up with a mission based on it.
Let's see we have Karl Rove and the Valary Plane scandal. Many people
think the guy is guilty so I am sure not too many people would mind if
he was one of the ships to attack and sink in the game.
Then, their is our former \Secretary of Defense, Donald Rumsfeld, who
was forced to resign after prisoner scandals and for the general course
of the war in Iraq. Probably there is allot more too it than we know on
the outside, but that is only conjecture. Either way another guy to use
as a ship in our antiBush mission.
Well, then there is Dick Chanie and his scandal over shooting a guy
while deer hunting. If he was anyone else the insodent would have been
looked into with allot more depth, but that scandal seamed to appear and
disappear very quickly. Many questions still remain with people who want
to know if it was truly an accident or was there something more to the
insodent. We may never know the answer to that scandal.
Then, of course, there is the big cheese himself, George Bush, who is
currently running a race with Nickson to see who can end his presidency
with the lowest poll rating ever. Nickson had the brains to resign
before he got fried. Bush will probably stay in to the last hour, but if
his poll ratings continue on the downward spiral they are going he will
get the historical record for most unpopular president in history when
he leaves office.
Let's see there is the issue over leading us into war against Iraq for
weapons of mass destruction that never existed, Bush has been an avid
supporter of illegal imigration despite popular protest against it, miss
management over the war, miss management of Catrina, controversy over
torcher, bla. Basically, bad policy after bad policy has pretty much
sunk him in the minds of most voters and former supporters. So let's
sink him in a Lonewolf mission. Grin
Now, that I think about it there is quite a few Republicans you could
add to the mission, because they are up to their butts in scandal and
are basically a bunch of low lifes. If I don't stop now I could go on
about what lying, cheating, slime balls are in office both Democrat and
Republican.

This is an easy but fun mission. It's the one where you have to destroy
all of the ships that have names associated with the Clinton
administration such as Miss Monica, Bill's Hash Oil, Loser Al, Chinese
 Spy
Hovercraft, and so on. The chalenge? Complete the mission without
 visiting the supply ship.

Re: [Audyssey] lone wolf challenge

2006-09-28 Thread Thomas Ward
Hi John,
The deckgun is a bit tricky, but all you need to do is raise or lower it
to the right distance, and then point it at the correct ship and fire.
Of course firing on non-moving targets works best, but I have used it
effectively on moving targets as well. One comes to mind is the convoy
you must destroy without hitting the hospital ships.
I generally, aim in to the center of the convoy and start hammering them
with the deckgun. You can often times damage or destroy a cargo ship or
two and scare the hospital ships off so you can get some solid torpedo
shots in.

It takes lots of practice. Myself I am not a gunner. I like torpedoing
my enemies, but I do use it when it comes in handy. My favorite time to
use it is when destroyers get stuck at one not and I blast them in to
dust as they stall.
