Hi although I use ripped sounds and stuff to make it fun I think I'll come up with characters of my own and stuff. Oh maybe some of you can use the lite version to come up with some cool fighting games based on soul calibur or street fighters that wold be fun to play. Re: [Audyssey] star wars games
Hi Josh, Hmmm...Might help Lucas Arts from taking it out of your hide. In fact during the first few PC Star Wars games Lucas Arts created an entire series of custom characters like Kile Katern who wasn't really a part of the main Star Wars universe. It was only after some time that a few authors decided to write Kile Katern into the official Star Wars Universe. So creating some custom characters is a start. You might also release the game under a generic title that wouldn't immediately clue someone into the fact it is a Star Wars game. Cheers! Hi Phil, Lol! That's almost as funny as the Star Wars spoofs out there like Space Balls and Hardware Wars. You'll laugh. You'll cry. You'll kiss three bucks goodbye. Do you remember that? The names they had in Hardware Wars were funny. Let's see there was Captain Hand Salid, Luke Starbucker, Darth Nader, and I can't remember them all but it was stupid and funny. As for Space Balls I still get a kick out of the corny jokes in that movie. May the swarts be with you. Cheers! The other one related to some of this is since my one cane is sort of electric blue, and little kids ask me where I got my light saver, I also have a darth vader helmet, that might use for dress up parties or something, and my version of the saying is: look, I can see no farther... [Audyssey] Star Wars games was star wars sounds
Hi Josh, Well, I don't believe either Sthe USa Games or Light Tech games will be like the commercial Star Wars games out there, and the story lines are probably allot different. As I understand it you were planning to clone an existing commercial SW game and make it accessible. Josh wrote: no I won't forget about that. you know, with at least two or more star wars games in production right now, maybe it would be best not to make my own just in case I would accidentally rip off someone else's ideas? [Audyssey] star wars games
Man they sound cool. I like how geting through them was a bit diffficult so it was more of a challenge. And the waya person could trick a rankorsweet I have always ramsackecked corspes in gmaes but never once thought of putting something back in one. LOLOLOL Great idea!! YeahWin '95 did have some cool games. Too bad they don't work on modern machines..they're too fast and besides you had to have multiple cd-roms to play the game. Reviving these old games sounds awesome I never had the chance to play them myself. Ya could change a few things to make them difffernet so it isn't an exact copy but follow the spirit of the older games and some of the storyline. In any case, the games will be great Chris ___ Gamers mailing list .. Re: [Audyssey] star wars games
Hi, Chris. One thing I remember about allot of the older SW games is the maze for the level was half the battle. You had to search for things like keys and renches that would give you access to another part of the level. Even when you found them you had to figure out where they could be used to gain access to the exits. Other times the most obvious way was blocked. You had to double back, cut open a grate, climb through, and it gave you an alternative way in to the rest of the level. There was also several different ways to attack and escape from enemies. I remember in Mysteries of the Sith having Mara Jade walk across the roof tops of this Imperial city, and there were Storm Troopers on the streets where you needed to be. You could take them out in two ways. You could either draw Mara's blaster and try and sniper them, or you could ignight your light saber, leap down on them, and do a worl wind saber attack on them. I usually chose the second option as I was a light saber fan, but lost health points in the process of trying to cut them all down. In Dark Forces *II you played the part of Kyle a new Jedi learning to be a Knight. You basicly got to choose if you were going to follow the dark or light path. If you chose the dark path you killed everyone and everything including civilians without impunity. Like there was this old man on a ledge begging for help. If you were a dark sider you pushed him off or gave him the light saber to death. If you were a light sider you rescueed him. If you chose the dark path by the time you reached Jeric you killed him and took over the new order of the Sith. If you chose the light side you killed Jeric and the sith were defeated. As it turned out in the end Lucas Arts made Kyle Katern a dark sider. In Mysteries of the Sith Mara Jade is attempting to find the new Lord of the Sith. When she finally makes it to level 13, and finds the secret antichamber Kyle Katern is the new dark lord, and the Mara clone you killed was his aprentis. Here to Lucas Arts did a good job of given the player a choice. There was three endings to Mysteries of the Sith. One you turned Kyle from the dark side, two you died, or three you defeated him in an awesome force battle. ___ Gamers mailing list ..
