Re: [Audyssey] CMUD supports Simutronics by default.

2009-10-20 Thread James Homuth
I never had those problems when I used it. Of course, I also never used the
JAWS cursor unless I had to, so eh.

ZMud was relatively accessible when I tried it a few months ago, but I had
some serious focus issues when trying to read with the jaws cursor. I
haven't given CMud a try though.

Re: [Audyssey] CMUD supports Simutronics by default.

2009-10-20 Thread Ryan Strunk
I used to use zmud to play the simutronics games, but I had a real problem
with the ability to gag text. The developer designed zmud such that gagging
a line actually pulled it off of the screen only after it had been
displayed, which caused all sorts of jaws issues. It's definitely doable,
but if I could use my preferred client, I'd be all the happier.

CMUD, which looks like a replacement to the apparently discontinued ZMUD,
has Simutronics support built in by default. You don't need the front-end
wizard to make use of it. Now, last time I used ZMUD it required some
tweeking to actually play nice with JAWS (don't have any other screenreaders
to test it on), but it was doable. If the same still holds true, it might be
a viable replacement to the need to run their front-end program just to
extract the authentication token. For a detailed feature list:
