Re: [Audyssey] Showdown online?

Hi Charles,
Unfortunately, it isn't quite that simple. You have to hit the ball dead
center, else you...well...you'll be swiging at nothing.

Best Regards,
Hayden

Can you tell by the sound of the ball as it travels? Maybe your position on

the court and the angle of the ball as it comes to you could indicate which
way it goes when you hit it? Move to the left of the ball to make it go
right and vice versa? These are either conjectures on how it currently
works, or suggestions on how it could work, because I haven't played the
game in a heck of a long time, so don't recall the mechanics of game play.

I don't think that the computer chose the direction of the ball--it is
served toward where it was going when it reached a goal.

Also another suggestion:
Instead of the actual game where when you press space, the computer
chooses the direction of the ball, it could be nice if we are able to
choose it for our own. I would suggest 3 keys where you could choose if
you want to send the ball either to the right, centtre or left.

Hi Philip. I also love showdown and this idea is just amazing.
I am also willing to purchase this game!
I just wanted to remind some correction for the game.
According to the showdown rules, for winning a set you should have two
points of advantage for example if it is 10 10, you should achieve 12
points for winning a set and not 11.
Just my suggestion but i really like the idea.

hmmm online stuff would rock.
But I just don't think I'd have the time or much time to play the game.

Offhand, by the title, I don't recall the game, although I do agree that we
should support more online games when they are of desired quality and are of
interest.

Definitely interested... I haven't played showdown in ages, and I
miss standing around the table and watching people go at it. One
request though... would it be possible to make it a bit more complex?
Including but not limitted to having the pace move a bit faster? lol. Thanks.
