the keyboard seams to be frozen while peeves and other ghosts attacks

masters office without the game locking up Peves goes on a rampage
steels everything, and then you can't get your things back because they
seam to have vanished into nowhere.

What I think he's referring to is that while the Headmaster's office is
loading, Peves comes and attacks while I'm completely helpless, and
steals your stuff. When the level starts, your items are nowhere to be found.
