Re: [Audyssey] MOTA16 impressions
Hi Damien, Hmmm...I guess you haven't played for a while as most of the changes you mentioned were added in earlier releases. For example, the water on level 1. I took that out and moved it to a later level because I wanted to do more with it such as be able to swim underwater, and I couldn't make that kind of change to level 1 without completely recreating the entire level from scratch. As for the alt key that is an annoying problem do to Windows. When you press it it activates the little context menu at the corner of the screen sometimes and I've been trying to figure out how to keep it from doing that without disabling the pulldown menus altogether. Though I don't have a screenreader loaded at the time, my Windows sound scheme makes a sound when any sort of menu pops up, and it was making that click every time I walked. As soon as I pressed Alt again, the menus disappeared. A minor inconvenience, but I thought it should be noted. The other thing is, I was viewing a room and saw a small chasm on level 2. Therefore I jumped when I heard the crumbling ledge and subsequently got killed. This makes me think that either it was supposed to be a large chasm, or the length of this particular chasm meant I couldn't jump over it for some reason. Other than that, its performance has greatly improved since the last version I tried, and I am very impressed with the new sounds. The new layout confused me for a while, but that I shall get used to in time. The one thing I will ask is, what happened to the water? I loved swimming past that waterfall. Heheh. Odd, because I didn't encounter any menu issues. As for the casm are you sure you had your weapon holstered, because even a small chasm will be unjumpable if you have a drawn weapon. Re: [Audyssey] MOTA16 impressions
Hello Damien, Spoiler space the reason you can't jump over the cavern is because you need to lower down the bridge. To do this, press v and look for the switch and then walk to it, and then when you have found it. Press the enter key. _ From: gamers-boun...@audyssey.org [mailto:gamers-boun...@audyssey.org] On Behalf Of Damien Pendleton Sent: Sunday, November 07, 2010 1:40 AM To: Gamers Discussion list Subject: [Audyssey] MOTA16 impressions Hi Tom and all, So I finally find time to install Beta 16 of MOTA, and what an impressive list of changes.
