Re: [Audyssey] problum configuring the usb controler
I don't understand the description of your problem. I think, although I haven't tried it yet, that it is asking you which button you want to use for this function, you tell it by pressing the button you want to use, then move on to the next function, continuing this process until all functions have been reassigned to the button you want to use to perform them. --- Laughter is the best medicine, so look around, find a dose and take it to heart. - Original Message - From: "Mich" To: "Gamers Discussion list" Sent: Friday, April 22, 2011 12:37 AM Subject: [Audyssey] problum configuring the usb controler Hi tom and all. I looked at the users guide for mota under the section about joysticks. I am having a bit of trouble configuring the different buttons on the controller. the controller is your standard button controller with the 4 round buttons on the right side the plus sign button on the left and 4 little buttons in the middle. and then there are the 2 different joy sticks that move forward and back and left and right. the problem I am having is I get in to the part of the menu were it says configure joystick and I say yes then it says press a button to draw weapon and to walk and all of that. that is the issue I am having problems with is how to configure these buttons for this. any help you can give me regarding this would be grate from Mich. - Original Message - From: "Thomas Ward" To: "Gamers Discussion list" Sent: Friday, April 22, 2011 1:02 AM Subject: Re: [Audyssey] I just receaved my Logitech F510 Rumble Gamepad and have a few questions. Hi Mich, If you want all the advanced features of the controllers such as force feedback rumble support and so on definitely install the cds. That's what they are there for. Although, windows 7 has a pnp driver its just a generic driver and doesn't have the custom profilers, force feedback, and other advanced support for your controller. I have found the direction sticks and the button that looks like a plus witch I assume is your up down left and right button.that is on the left there are also 4 buttons on the right side. I am not sure what these would be for. also there are 2 buttons on the back on the left and right. and there are 2 buttons in the middle that look rectangular and like little lines. I also just to be safe ordered the same controller but the 710 moddle. it looks the same but has a few extra buttons. I would also like to know if I need to install the cd's that came with these controllers?each of them have cords atached to them. or is this a case of plug and play? many thanks. from Mich. --- Gamers mailing list __ Gamers@audyssey.org If you want to leave the list, send E-mail to gamers-unsubscr...@audyssey.org. Re: [Audyssey] problum configuring the usb controler
Hi Kai, No, I haven't scene it. My guess is it just got bounced to the moderator queue for approval since it more than likely went over the 10 KB limit. I'll check the queue before I go to bed which will be very very soon. You start by enabling joystick support. Hopefully once you do that it will initialize and plug and play the device you have enabling it for use with the game. Now, you go into configure joystick and select an action you want to map. Let's assume here you select fire weapon. You press enter on that and it will ask you to press a button to map. You pick up your joystick and press the button you want to map to the fire control. It will asign it to your joystick profiler, and then take you back to the configure menu. If that does not happen then there could be a problem with your joystick. One common issue I've been getting from users using the F510 and F710 is they don't have the controller correctly configured for DirectInput. Instead, sometimes the controller ships with XInput by default, and you simply have to flip the switch on the front over to DirectInput. Since MOTA still uses DirectInput 8 instead of XInput if you have it set to XInput it won't work. Another is if you just installed the device make sure to reboot before configuring it. Sometimes it doesn't detect it right off, and you have to try again. HTH On 4/22/11, Mich wrote: Hi tom and all. I looked at the users guide for mota under the section about joysticks.
