Re: [Audyssey] were to down load games?

2009-10-12 Thread Thomas Ward

Hi Lisa,
Smile. There is nothing dumb about your question. As you said yourself
you are new here, and no one expects you to know where to find things yet.
I'm not sure what kinds of games you are interested in, but there are a
number of game developers on this list creating accessible games for
blind and low vision players. Since I'm not sure what you might like
I'll give you some places to begin.
First, most games can be found on audiogames.net. It is basically a
central hub wwith links to games, a forum, descriptions, and other
stuff. It is a great resource for someone like you who is just getting
started.
If you are the kind of player that is interested in card and board games
visit Jim Kitchens site

http://www.kitchensinc.net
for games like Monopoly, Casino, Yatzi, Hangman, and other games of that
type.
If you are into classic arcade games you might want to checkout some of
these sites.

http://www.bscgames.com
http://www.draconisentertainment.com
http://www.l-works.net

If you have an interest in combat simulations like a tank or submarine
simulation checkout GMA's web site

http://www.gmagames.com.

If you are into word puzzles, want to try some Inspector Cindi
mysteries, and games like that you might want to check out 7-128's
accessible game book found at

http://www.7128.com.
Finally, I have some games of my own under development at
http://www.usagamesinteractive.com
that you might want to checkout at your leasure. In addition to my own
games I am working on putting up a free games section that is going to
be a collection of free games, new and old, that are accessible.

Re: [Audyssey] were to down load games?

2009-10-12 Thread shaun everiss
hmmm.
ok game lists can be got at www.pcsgames.net and www.audiogames.net
these are our main game databases.
IN devidual devs have game lists at least some do.
www.kitchensinc.net has a load of free stuff on it.
www.gmagames.com has lonewolf gtc and sod.
www.vipgameszone.com has some extra stuff, forget what.
www.bscgames.com is another one you can get games from.
http://jlpo.free.fr/soundrts
is where you get some stuff from to.
then there is
www.blind-games.com and
http://x-sight-interactive.net/rsgames
and the standard http://x-sight-interactive.net
Then www.l-works.net
Some of these devs have blogs.
check http://rsgames.wordpress.com and www.l-works.net/blog
also http://blog.x-sight-interactive.net
And that should at least be all or most of the popular ones.
oh and ofcause www.ifarchive.org
I suggest to get all you want you read all audyssey issues which is what I did,
at the time it took me about a month to do it.
However that is how you would do it.
hmmm other sites talked about include alter ego formaly at the black forge now
at
http://ww2.themindofboston.net:5050/alterego/
then there are the game books at www.projectaon.com I think and the
www.ffproject.com site.

Hi Lisa,

I guarantee you're going to get flooded with responses, but I did want to
throw out a primary resource rather than a specific company. Okay so two of
them.

www.audiogames.net
http://www.pcsgames.net/game-co.htm

I'm personally a fan of the Blind Adrenaline card rooms. You can play
hearts, 5 card draw, and Texas Holdem against other people over the
internet. Che will also have blackjack out in the near future.

Good luck!
Ryan

Hi Lisa, from ron Kolesar and Leader Dog Boz.
First go to
kitchensinc.net
This is Mr. Jim Kitchen's web page full of free windows games.
If you're into flying? Check out his puppy one flying game.
Then go to BSC Games. Their web page is
www.bscgames.com
Here there's demos of the games for a roughly ten day demo of each game. The

game I would highly recommend are as follows:
Pipe one or two. Pipe one is classic pipe and pipe two is the blast chamber
version which i had a blast helping to bug test.
Then there's troopanum and then there's hunter.
Then go to
www.bpcprograms.com
Then go to their down load page.
The one main game to down load that is still a beta version or still being
worked on is the Three D Velocity flying simulator for we blind pilot love
to be's.
The best way to describe this is a cross between the two movies top gun and
iron eagles.
So you have come to the right place to ask your gaming questions.
Have fun.
Ron and Boz dog number two since 93 and now in 04.
Matt & Ron Kolesar & there great Dogs!
