Here's a simple patch for gmond/gmond.c to chop domain names off the
ganglia web interface and, incidentally, the gstat output. It may be
too much brute force for some sites, but I've seen a few other
messages asking for this, so it could be of general interest
nonetheless.

why not doing the change in the web interface then?
