okay, but as I am not familiar with board lists, you'll have to explain me the
basics in a few words. I would like to limitate the daily amount of e-mails
into people's inbox when some topic/thread does not concern them.

The GGA List (now the GGA Board List) is just a mailing list.
All e-mails posted to gecko@lists.gekkota.com (maintained by the webserve
that hosts the GGA website) go to each person subscribed to the list.
