The graduation requirements say
The project is considered to have a diverse community when it is not highly
dependent on any single contributor (there are at least 3 legally independent
committers and there is no single company or entity that is vital to the
success of the project).

Btw, S4 is short a mentor. It would be great if one or two IPMC
members could volunteer and help Arun and I with mentorship duties.

Not really. Generally it is best for a vote to be a proof of consensus,
especially for bigger topics (like graduation).
And I certainly would add a -1 vote were a project attempting to
override a mentor.

The diversity (so-called) requirement is often stated in terms of the
risk of the project being stranded if a company changes course. From
what I see around the Foundation, this is usually a risk much akin to
the risk of all the air molecules congregating in one corner of the
room at the board
We have an Attic fer Christ-sakes, and in it lies the carcass of
Apache Harmony, which died because IBM pulled out. BFD, that was
not a failing of the org, nor the IPMC, when it considered Harmony
for graduation. Shit happens.
Our license does not promise that a project will live forever.
