Nope, its perfectly fine. I was curious more-so if it was an existing
company, and if it was a problem with naming.

Hi John and Marc,
Regarding the Quickstep Technologies reference, it was the legal entity (LLC
registered in Wisconsin) that originally owned the code, all of which was
transferred to Pivotal in 2015. The entity Quickstep Technologies doesn’t exist
anymore. The reference in the NOTICE file
I do not think we have been through the search like described in [1]. In
regards to the quickstep technologies in the Notice file, I'm not sure of
its legacy, maybe it was a former name that Jignesh or one of the more
senior project members would know.
Anywho, we have a Jira about the notice
+1 release looks good. also, thank you for not treating the incubating as
part of the version #!
One side question - I notice in the NOTICE file you reference Quickstep
Technologies. Have you been through your namesearch yet and if so was that
name a problem?

At the time of the vote close, we only have 2 IPMC votes. Could we request
the powers that be take a quick look?

The Apache Incubator Quickstep community has approved a vote to release
Quickstep-0.1.0 RC7. Quickstep is a high performance relational database
system built from the ground up for modern hardware.
We had a discussion on the general list in RC6 about fixing some issues
