May seam simple, but do you have the correct protocol selected for the
account?
Are you accessing from home/work?

are you
running ob2 or ob3. In ob3 you can type openbox3 --replace once gnome
is launched then save your gnome session upon exit and next time it will
load openbox rather then metacity.
When I used to run gnome and ob2, this was my .xinitrc
gnome-panel &
nautilus &
exec openbox

If I have hyper threading enable and I am showing 4 processors (2
actual) when I cat /proc/cpuinfo can I set the make.conf variable to -j5
rather then -j3? -j3 is because I have dual 3.0ghz processors and the
way I understand it is I can modify this to # of processors plus 1.

I heard of or read about an app that tricks the pop customer into
thinking they are checking their mail as often as they like, but only
really allows one check per an allotted time.
Am I remembering correctly or is this just wishful thinking.

Hello,
Currently building a new mail server and I am trying to decide what IMAP
to use. I was seriously looking at courier-imap because it has pop3
built in.
SMTP is going to be Postfix. Any suggestions or comments?

I don’t have a boot disk or cd handy
either.

I thought I would poll the masses and see what the groups
take is on these two. I am
currently contemplating either of the two for mail at the ISP level. I like
Postfix, but have been told Qmail is the way to
go.
What do you think? Pros and Cons for both.

I am beginning an install on a Power Edge 2650. Does anyone
have any pointers or similar experiences to share?
The box has booted up fine using the 1.4rc4 live. Only thing is It did
not seem to detect my scsi hard drives.

Is it being detected at boot? What goes dmesg say?

Anyone own or purchased one of these machines as of late? Dell is selling them for

It's come down to this or an 800mhz ibook.
Anyone have some rants or raves as far as the Dell goes? TIA
