`man dhcpcd` -R Prevents dhcpcd from replacing existing etcDir/resolv.conf file. I'm not sure whether that will help at all. It may preserve the data in resolv.conf. Why this data isn't being correctly updated, I can't say. you _are_ using dhcpcd, right?
