Where did you find it?

Yes, I used to do it this way, when I had HP printer. Now with Brother
printers when you print first page "the form" it put some kind of static
onto the page. So when you run it second time, it jams almost every
second page.

jam t4sum_1page.pdf 1.pdf --outfile merged.pdf --nup "1x2" --delta "0
-200pt" --papersize "{500pt, 200pt}"
But the output is small. When I tried --paper letterpaper
it is out of alignment.
So it needs some work, but it might be the solution.

THANKS Neil, you are absolutely correct.
I've compiled the pdftk- (java based)
gcc-5.4.0-r4 is gone and pdftk is working as it should.
Thank you everybody for the help.

Thanks Walter and Neil, Yes, that was the case not enough RAM,
MAKEOPTS="-j1" fixed the problem.
Though, it was slw. On Intel Quad core CPU and 4MB of RAM it took
over 7-hours to compile it.
I guess I need more RAM.

" emerge -uDNavq world" appears to be working (and new "portage" is there).
I have 428-packages to emerge so it will take some time.
But I was under impression I need to emerge "portage" before anything else.

My old router Asus RT-N16 was running DD-WRT and OpenVPN passthrough was
running perfectly. But the router went down.
I just got a new one D-Link DIR-878 but it seem to me it does not
support OpenVPN passthrough.
I can not establish connection with a remote OpenVPN server.
Can anybody recommend
I'm trying to mount Windows 10 directory on Gentoo
mount -t cifs -o username=xxx,password=xxx //10.0.0.146/customer
/home/joseph/ttt/
mount error(112): Host is down
I can ping 10.0.0.146 OK
customer -dir on Windows 10 has sharing enabled.

Thank you. [SOLVED]
All I needed was on sever.conf line:
tls-auth /etc/openvpn/cert/ta.key 0
In my case it was pointing it to a wrong file :-/

How to block in .htaccess file certain IP range?
I have bot from huawei.com on my server for several days:
IP: 114.119.128.0 - 114.119.191.255
Or just block all China
--
Thelma
I'm still using apache 2.2
So I think it should be:
deny from 114.119.128.0/24
With the:
Require all granted
Require not ip 114.119.128.0/24
I couldn't even access my own webpage from localhost.

I have tried (doesn't work)
order allow,deny
allow from all
# block spamers:
deny from huawei.com
I'm still getting over 800-entires from: 114.119.128.0 - 114.119.191.255

Will it work:
deny from 114.119.128.0/114.119.191.255

The below are not blocking those IP's :
deny from 114.119.128.0/24
deny from 114.119.128.0

I have a pdf file that has a check-mark symbol in it. On one computer the
evince is display the "check-mark". On my other computer the check mark is
displayed as a "square box"
Both computer run save ver. of evince.
pdffonts Km_Ysa.pdf (shows same output on both computers):

Hi Ashley,
Thank you for the hint. I unzip the "ITC Zapf Dingbats.zip" to
/usr/share/fonts/itc-zapf-dingbats
and created as you suggested: /etc/fonts/local.conf with the content
above and the "check-mark" is showing perfectly.
Thank you for the solution!

If I login from the command "ifconfig" now works from command line at
the terminal but if I login over "ssh", "ifconfig" is not working only
"/bin/ifconfig"
I was thinking it is the option in sshd_config: PermitUserEnvironment
but enabling it didn't help.

I run few time: fsck.ext2 /dev/sdb1
and it fixed the problem.

To do it I think I need to record the screen as it boots.

Sometimes the system boot but most of the time it doesn't. So I was
trying to "bootstrap" it to clean up some files.
