[gentoo-user] genpatches-2.6.16-14.base.tar.bz2 -- Digest verification failed

2006-07-07 Thread Richard Broersma Jr
Does anyone have any recommendation about what do I need to do to get
genpatches to download
correctly?

Any suggestions?

Usually when you get digest failures, you can:

1. What a while, then emerge --sync again. (may update the manifest)

2. Try a different mirror. (may get a file that matches the manifest)

3. ebuild
/usr/portage/sys-kernel/gentoo-sources/gentoo-sources-2.6.16-r12.ebuild
digest
This rebuilds the manifest to match what you have. This should be
your *last* resort!

option 1. worked for me.

The initial try downloaded portage-2.???-r4 and this error occured.

The next try downloaded portage 2.???-r5 and I assume this fixed it becuase it
completed the
emerge successfully.

Thanks for the help!
