Thanks a lot, that was it. There's an issue with genkernel too, as it didn't disabled CONFIG_SYSFS_DEPRECATED as stated during an still failing boot. Compiled again with that key disabled, and now I'm on my favorite environment without rescue CDs. Have some polishing to do, though ;-) Thanks

Hi group, That's (S)creen (O)f (D)eath. I thought I had fixed this problem on my eee. I would get these SODs, black usually, but sometimes white and once green while connected to the web(don't know if that's significant). At first I thought it was the browser, so I tried firefox-3.0, firefox-3.5,
