There is a feature on biochars in the 15 Jan NATURE that is quite interesting -- among other things, suggests always using biochars instead of biochar because of the variation among the products -- but scarcely mentions CDR.

Fred and list: I respond as one of the list’s “biochar enthusiasts”. Her article is probably fairly accurate in reporting on what biochar researchers and sales forces are talking about - soils/food/water/etc (where the money is) and not climate (where there is only a little
