Hello,
I didn't know about "Make sunsets". They claim on their web site:
Specifically: we release a natural compound via reusable balloons to create
reflective clouds in the stratosphere. They're * really* effective: 1 gram of
our clouds offsets the warming that 1 ton of CO ₂ emissions
I had read from the research information that in a chemical and size sense
the spheres could be thought of as sand, just shaped to be highly
reflective. But the question of whether they float is a good one.

be considered by governments as being akin to landmines or biological weapons
and blacklisted internationally.

Hi All
The Hoffmann paper seems to be a convincing argument to treat regions where
there has just been rain to clean the air and to use a mono-disperse spray to
get a high nucleation fraction. We do not want the bigger nuclei to grab water
vapour and starve the smaller ones.
Advice on the
Cross posting to geo as this is a fascinating concept and I was unaware of.
I have questions
1) do climate models typically include
a) PSC formation
b) strat/trop water exchange
2) SAI causes sulphuric acid particles to rain out eventually, along with
any water they've absorbed hygroscopically.
