Regarding the user mailings list support, I agree with Aime the user mailing
list has been negligent by developers.
One think that could be done is
I can say as a new developer that Ian's presentation was great to go
through, and I can see how it would be helpful to other hopping in. I do
think it would be a good idea to introduce that to new user (and it was a
good read for a new developer too).
