Re: [Geoserver-users] getting height data from store
Try using the WMS GetFeatureInfo. This will return the value of raster layer at your point. I use this to implement a hover service, showing the value of a raster under the mouse. -Original Message- From: gold1 Sent: Sunday, 11 November 2018 05:30 To: geoserver-users@lists.sourceforge.net Subject: [Geoserver-users] getting height data from store I'm using Leaflet map + Geo server to display a map. I have a tiff file and a dt2 file. I created a geotiff store and layer that i'm showing in leaflet, And i created a DTED store and layer in geo server I want now to display the altitude of each point from the DEM Layer, like so: Latitude: 32.123 ,longitude: 12.112, Altitude: 12312 m How do i get the altitude data from the store i created? I tried using wcs protocol but i only get images. thanks. -- Sent from: http://osgeo-org.1560.x6.nabble.com/GeoServer-User-f3786390.html ___ Geoserver-users mailing list Please make sure you read the following two resources before posting to this list: - Earning your support instead of buying it, but Ian Turton: http://www.ianturton.com/talks/foss4g.html#/ - The GeoServer user list posting guidelines: http://geoserver.org/comm/userlist-guidelines.html If you want to request a feature or an improvement, also see this: https://github.com/geoserver/geoserver/wiki/Successfully-requesting-and-integrating-new-features-and-improvements-in-GeoServer Geoserver-users@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/geoserver-users Notice: This email and any attachments are confidential and may not be used, published or redistributed without the prior written consent of the Institute of Geological and Nuclear Sciences Limited (GNS Science). Re: [Geoserver-users] Rasters showing correctly in layer preview, but won't load in QGIS through WMS
Hi Ville, not sure, but I would open a ticket with: - sample data - the wms request involved - the full stack trace (please no omissions, every part of it is important, from beginning to end) Cheers Andrea On Mon, Nov 12, 2018 at 1:50 PM Ville Koivisto < ville.koivi...@kuntotekniikka.fi> wrote: > *Dear list, * > > > > I have an issue, summed up in the message title. [Geoserver-users] Rasters showing correctly in layer preview, but won't load in QGIS through WMS
Dear list, I have an issue, summed up in the message title. I have two rasters, one ortophoto and one planning map which show correctly in layer preview in Geoserver. The problem is that when I try to retrieve them via WMS in QGIS, I can find them but they won't load. I have the same exact rasters in another geoserver, and on a different server altogether, and from there I can retrieve them to QGIS. There is a slight version difference, 2.13.2 vs. 2.13.0. Another raster is an image pyramid and another geotiff. I guess format is not the issue, since behavior is shared between them. WMS is enabled, workspace is enable and WMS is checked as a service. I have following error messages in log (attached relevant log): 2018-11-12 14:18:47,584 ERROR [geoserver.ows] - org.geoserver.platform.ServiceException: Error rendering coverage on the fast path . . . Caused by: org.geoserver.platform.ServiceException: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: The reference geometry must be either Polygon, MultiPolygon, or a polygonal PreparedGeometry . . . Any advice from where to start troubleshooting?
