Re: [Geoserver-users] t2258: GeoServer is Reporting Invalid Geometry

This appears to be a problem with your SQLServer (or the geometry), as
previously identified
(https://sourceforge.net/p/geoserver/mailman/message/36463520/).

The error is not coming from GeoServer.

Subject: [Geoserver-users] t2258: GeoServer is Reporting Invalid Geometry

Hi all,

I am getting the following error for some of the geometry in one of my
layers:

"A .NET Framework error occurred during execution of user-defined routine or
aggregate "geometry": System.ArgumentException: 24144: This operation cannot
be completed because the instance is not valid. Use MakeValid to convert the
instance to a valid instance. Note that MakeValid may cause the points of a
geometry instance to shift slightly."

I have checked that all the polygons in the SQL Server table are valid
(indeed three separate people in three separate organisations have done
this).

An example Polygon that will display in GeoServer and an example polygon
that will not display can be found here:

Best wishes,

Mike
