try
"get_iplayer --get 6647 --verbose 2>&1 | tee ~/log.txt"
the 'tee' version will allow you to see what is being placed in the
log.txt file.

ffmpeg is working/being accessed (I think). It's just apparently
attempting to access a CUDA
I installed GIP 3.00 as per the instructions into /usr/local/bin.
I checked that I have AtomicParsley and Ffmpeg before I did that.
Ok ran GIP and got this
