Did you use the current installers from http://gimp-win.sf.net?

I very much agree.

While some of the Alchemy scripts work fine under Artistic, for some
of them, "Alchemy" really is a better choice.

That's ripe for another proposal. :)

The big problem is Xtns is that the menu has no real purpose. It's
just a junk drawer for things that don't fit under "File" or "Help".

I'd put the script-fu stuff under File as Render New, since it creates
new images.

I say go for it!

[Gimp-developer] Gimp cant open jpgs file on windowsXP

2005-05-09 Thread Laszlo
Hi!

I have on windows XP, gimp 2.2.6. If I try to open a .jpg file, the
jpeg.exe has errors and crash. (ofcours I have a bugreport window, if I
want to send a report from this problem to microsoft)

I put online this .jpg file (on my linux box it works fine), can
somebody look at it from windowsXP?

Or how can I provide more information about this crash? The .jpg file
format really needed. Almost all of my photo are .jpg ...

Best regards,
 Khiraly
