Also a shortcut for changing the brush settings like opacity, size, alpha and other dynamics etc. might be useful. You can already do that. Hi Sven, Thanks a lot for your reply! Also a shortcut for changing the brush settings like opacity, size, alpha and other dynamics etc. might be useful. You can already do that. I didn't know that you could do that. I know that you can access the Brushes and Tool Options dialogs via shortcuts, but you still need to have 3 dialogs open if you want to change opacity, spacing and radius of a brush. I put all the brush related dialogs into one dock, so that you need to only need to use one shortcut to bring it all up. But what I like about the ZBrush method is that it is very quick, no browsing through menus, since all of the common options are combined into a single condensed menu. Is there a already a shortcut like that? I looked through the documentation and the hotkey editor but I didn't see it. Still, it isn't that important of a feature. It would just be nice when you are using the fullscreen mode to paint. Thanks again! There's a plethora of context related actions that you can assign keyboard shortcuts too. You can also bind those actions to other input devices. So in case you are running out of keys or would prefer a dial to control the brush size or opacity, consider to get a MIDI controller. Note that I am talking about the development version here. Not all of what I mentioned above is possible in 2.2 already. Sven ___ Gimp-developer mailing list Gimp-developer@lists.XCF.Berkeley.EDU https://lists.XCF.Berkeley.EDU/mailman/listinfo/gimp-developer
[Gimp-developer] usability proposition for Fullsreen drawing mode
I know we've already supposed fullscreen was only viewing mode; But since things are changing, it appears to me it a pity that the activation of the picture window hide any other window. Tools can easily be accessed via shortcuts that everybody should (at least part of), but what about windows (there are so many). What about giving the possibility to dock windows in the main picture one ? pygmee ___ Gimp-developer mailing list Gimp-developer@lists.XCF.Berkeley.EDU https://lists.XCF.Berkeley.EDU/mailman/listinfo/gimp-developer

Cedric, you should know that we have discussed this already every so often and that it is considered for implementation when 2.4 is out. What's the point of bringing it up again?
