Where is it in the code that generated brush hardness (and other GimpBrushGenerated data) start getting turned into something more concrete (something that can be painted). You probably wan't to run a debug-enabled build of GTK+ so you can set the GDK_DEBUG env var to nograbs. It's totally sufficient to look at the file app/core/gimpbrushgenerated.c. Everything is in there and you shouldn't have to deal with a debugger to understand what's going on. [Gimp-developer] [gimp]how to create a project in my VC++ express with GIMP
hi, guys. this is my first time to use gimp, i fount when i opened gimp for the psd files(used as PhotoShop) and save as WITHOUT any edit, the file size is bigger than the original file. the original psd file is 1.3M,the new one is 1.44M. so,i want to read the source code about the psd save model. i fount gimpvs project, but i did not find a way to create a Project in my VC++ Express. i download the gimpvs project in the svn. there isn't any info about that. Is there any one to compile Gimp with Visual Studio? -- 侯健-用最大的努力 争取最大的成功 ___ Gimp-developer mailing list Gimp-developer@lists.XCF.Berkeley.EDU https://lists.XCF.Berkeley.EDU/mailman/listinfo/gimp-developer
Re: [Gimp-developer] [gimp]how to create a project in my VC++ express with GIMP
GimpVS is not associated with the main Gimp project, and it looks like development on it came to a stop in March 2008, so you will probably have to do a lot of work to make this happen. Regarding the original problem, PhotoShop PSD files are designed to support PhotoShop's internal file format, which is different from Gimp's, so it is nearly impossible to open a PSD in Gimp and then re-save it and have it come back identical. It makes sense to try to improve PSD support in Gimp, but it doesn't make sense to aim for identical files. -- Bill ___ Gimp-developer mailing list Gimp-developer@lists.XCF.Berkeley.EDU https://lists.XCF.Berkeley.EDU/mailman/listinfo/gimp-developer
[Gimp-developer] GIMP in-game feature
Dear GIMP developers, i am a artist of the TORCS-NG racing game project. TORCS-NG is the active development fork of the famous open source 3D racing game TORCS. In the past the TORCS-NG team startet creating virtual brands for car- and track design. I proposed to feature open source projects we (the TORCS-NG team) love. We like to feature GIMP as a panel at the border of a track or a car skin too. So we like to get the permission to do so and we like to know what kind of license the GIMP logo has (the artwork must be distrubuted as CC/ Free Art License). We created a small gallery so you can imagine what TORCS-NG will be. Here you find examples of car skins: http://www.neeneenee.de/torcs-ng/gallery/ Best regards. Eckhard M.
