Can't talk for the GIMP people but I personally enjoy every single
release of gimp-print as it's about the most useful plugin for GIMP.

am proofreading all original strings in the head branch of GIMP CVS. I
don't know how long this will take me. I will send out another mail

It would be nice to get it into an update, though, because there's a
lot of new stuff in 4.2 (better UI, more printers, better quality).
It's also a lot more maintainable; when we release updates, it won't
require recompiling the plugin on systems that support dynamic
linking, just rebuilding libg
