Re: [Gimp-developer] [FEATURE] Adding ICC support
A few years ago I took a stab at a color management plug-in for the Gimp. Unfortunately this project is at the bottom of my priority list, so I have not updated it in a long time. If somebody is looking for ideas, this would be a good place to start: http://khk.net/color/color_manager.html It's based on LCMS and can use embedded ICC profiles (stored as parasite). Of couyrse, without the ability in a GimpImage to store and access CLYK natively, we're not going to have native support for multiple colourspaces, but this is a decent start for save routines, for example. Definitely needs some coding (and some ideas) soon otherwise it's definitely getting bumped. Re: [Gimp-developer] [FEATURE] Adding ICC support
I was just informed that the page I linked to does not have the link to the actual plug-in. You can download the plug-in using this link: http://khk.net/download/gimp-color-manager-0.0.7.tar.gz (the download link is actually on my Gimp page, which is linked to on the navigation links left of the text). [Gimp-developer] [FEATURE] Adding ICC support

Personally I think that we've got to be really brutal at this point. 2.0 freeze is DAYS away, for one thing (heck, until a few weeks ago 2.0 was going to be RELEASED at Camp). And as maintainers know, a pending freeze should NOT equate to arrghh, quick quick, shovel in the features before the freeze, We'll Fix Them Up Real Good Later. If it even vaguely smells like a feature and there's not already a patch for it (or it just involves tweaking some constants), IMO it must miss the 2.0 train. --Adam -- Adam D.
