I don't want to annoy everybody with my (sometimes
poor) ideas. So... where should I go in order to send
suggestions to The Gimp developers ? And where should
I go in order to verify these ideas haven't already
been proposed ?

I love the dockable tabs in the last gimp versions...
but I am a bit frustrated this feature isn't extended
to menus.
Until now you can dock tabs, and only tabs. You can

finally got over the hurdles, thanks to help from several people on
this mail reflector.

some fedora packages of recent gimp
When creating a new document, we have two fields. I've always used the
same value but if they are 2 it is certainly because there is one. So
does anybody know in what cases X and Y should be different ?
