[Gimp-user] simple how to background image
See an example at: http://www.caps2point0.org/templates/yt_sunblogger/images/pink/page_bg.png Is there a way to create an image like this in GIMP (or other heaven forbid) without having to spend hours copying, pasting, lining up pixels? It could be circles, squares, diamonds, etc as the repeating pattern? -- Bob ___ Gimp-user mailing list Gimp-user@lists.XCF.Berkeley.EDU https://lists.XCF.Berkeley.EDU/mailman/listinfo/gimp-user

Create a new image Use the blend tool for a gradient... Filters Distorts Newsprint... - On the Screen Section - change to Intensity Mess with the other settings of newsprint to tweak it... To that end, I'm trying to take a scan of my caligraphy, and warp it into the proper shape—sort of like Word 'Art'. But how can I achieve this twisting with a scanned image? See http://typophile.com/files/text%20in%20a%20half-circle_6719.jpg for the effect I want, and http://typophile.com/files/od%20yishama_4911.gif for the text I want to bend. Hi, I suggest you use Inkscape for this type of distortion/effect, simply convert your text to a path and manipulate endlessly Owen ___ Gimp-user mailing list Gimp-user@lists.XCF.Berkeley.EDU https://lists.XCF.Berkeley.EDU/mailman/listinfo/gimp-user
