Window focus problem

I am using 1.1.29. When I open a menu into it's own window (by clicking on the dashed line), it screws up my window manager (fvwm). I have to manually change the focus to the window that I want to work on. This eh, quality lasts after the gimp is gone. I have to restart X to get it back to "cl

You have to do two things. 1. You have to make "Fontmap" and a "fonts.scale" in the directory containing your fonts. The easy way to do this is to use type1inst. 2. " xset fp+ /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/Type1 ". You can type that into the command line or you can put it into your .xintrc file.
