Imposition? You mean like n-up printing? Why would you do that with
GIMP?
My impression is that it sounds a bit like Let's fund anything,
anything via Kickstarter! :) Please let's not try to treat
crowdfunding as a silver bullet.

Why would FallenLegend need to know that? Relax, people can't (and
shouldn't) know everything, and I wouldn't call myself a developer

Hi Mike,
On OS X:
If you got your GIMP from gimp.lisanet.de, then
1. go to the Download section there,

3. download the user manual of your language,
4. unzip the downloaded manual and install the unzipped installer package.
If you got it for instance
Let me apologize first for not knowing how to use gimp-user-list to post. I
am not sure I am doing it correctly (how do I access list?).
That said, your information is spot-on. I may uninstall/delete GIMP I

You should get GIMP from gimp.org whenever possible. What operating system
are you using Mike? If we know that then people can stop throwing out
blanket guesses of support and we can actually get you the right
information you need.

You're right and usually this is the advice I (or we from the GIMP team)
give. Unfortunately the OS X build we usually recommend hasn't
released version 2.8.6 (yet) and all attempts to get the previous

There is no officially released 2.9.x version. If you are talking
about an installer
